Pro Choice Arguments

There are arguments that are made on behalf of both sides of the abortion issue. The pro life arguments would advocate the right to life which trumps an individual's autonomy over their own body. The pro choice arguments would center on a woman's own right to determine what she chooses to do with her own body.

The truth is that both sides of this heated issue feel that they are totally in the right. But is this so? Are both parties speaking truth? I will now share my own perspective and let you decide.

In my opinion, the pro choice aruments do not hold up for one simple reason:  No one can arbitrarily choose when life begins. It is common sense and obvious that life begins at conception. We see rapid cell development from the onset and finger prints and a heart beat in a matter of a few weeks. Yet, those that would argue on behalf of pro choice would suggest that life starts at 20 weeks or 24 weeks. Still there are others that would go so far as to claim that life does not begin until the baby is born at 9 months. To the rational and unbiased mind this is insanity! The argument states life is only life if it is viable and can support itself outside of the womb. Following rational and consistent thinking then how can we consider any baby in the first year of life as "viable?" Of course, a baby in the first few months of life is still totally dependent upon the caregiver.
