Abortion Pros and Cons

It is hard to ignore the abortion issue. You hear it at home, church, television, politics and everywhere else. There are those that believe abortion is right in all cases and those that hold top it being wrong in all cases. Indeed, the abortion pros and cons are many; let’s take a further look into the abortion pros and cons:

Abortion Pros

Those that are abortion pros believe that a woman has the right to decide what she wants to do with her own body. The abortion pros believe that a woman should be able to do what she wants to her own body regardless of what others think or try and legislate. Those that are considered abortion cons would argue that a woman does have a right to her own body but this does not hold in regards to the killing of another life in order to preserve the woman’s’ right.

Those that are in the camp belonging to the abortion pros also might suggest that an abortion provides freedom for a woman and this freedom is an inalienable human right. Once again the abortion con would say that this freedom is coming at the expense of human life and that life trumps one’s “freedom.”

Abortion Cons

The abortion cons would hold to all life being precious and deserving of an opportunity to carry out that life. Those on this side of this camp would say that life begins at conception and it should be protected like any other life is in the legal realm. Abortion pros say that life beings at various stages, some believe it is not a life until it is actually delivered and others believe it is life prior to that. As an abortion con, the majority would see aborting a baby at any age is tantamount to murdering an adult.

Abortion cons tend to believe that many of the companies that are involved in performing abortions are doing so because they are getting rich off of it and it has nothing to do with the health and welfare of a woman. Whereas organizations performing abortion tend to “get a woman in and out of the clinic,” the various pro life organizations desire for a woman to see her baby before making her decision and this is done through an ultrasound procedure.
